When our grandson, Charlie, called (his voice sounding a lot like his mother’s) my husband and I gladly offered to fill in the three-day gap in his daycare arrangements. And what better way to share this adventure than through #WordlessWednesday (or in my case #AlmostWordlessWednesday)? Enjoy!
Which was a good thing because I had made several extra containers full for his daycare lunches. You can find the recipes here, here and here. And if you have Microsoft Word, you can easily make the freezer tags by using the ‘Shipping Labels Template’ found under ‘New Documents.’

I used to be in British Columbia many times a year when I was doing workshops and keynotes. Now that I’m retired, I’m not sure when my next trip will be. But I am sure that there will be a next time, and doubly sure that I will be in touch with you. I would love to meet you!

Thanks, Kate – We consider ourselves extremely lucky that all of our grandchildren (currently) live less than three hours away from us. Our youngest son does live in Singapore…so having grandchildren close by may not last forever. We are enjoying it while we can!

How FUN! When I worked in an office, one of my employees would often ask for time off to watch his grandkids while their parents traveled. Those were some amazing memories.

I’d love to be a ferry ride away from people – it sounds like a relaxing way to go to and from visits! Your grandson is gorgeous and you are so lucky to have been able to spend the time with him. Our little granddaughter is coming for an Easter visit with her parents and I can’t wait!

Hi, Leanne – Thanks for commenting. Funny thing about the ferry. Prior to living on Vancouver Island, and just coming here to visit, we LOVED the ferry. Two restaurants, a lounge, a gift shop and book store and panoramic views (including occasional orca sightings)…what was not to adore? Living on the Island, the ferry is a whole different story. $17.20 each way, plus $57.50 for your vehicle, and when it doesn’t run (due to weather) or you can’t get on (especially during summer or holidays) it can be very frustrating! Enjoy your Easter weekend with your children and granddaughter!

What a cutie! I love seeing the world through the eyes of a child. Maybe it’s because they are lower to the ground, but they are able to find magic everywhere, even on walks around the block.
